Time to start building...

I've been sitting on my butt for way to long now, ostensibly moving forward with school and work, but just sort of stagnating intellectually. I have all these big ideas I like to talk about and draw pictures of, but no real progress in any way.

No more.

I realize now that part of me was just waiting for Romney to get elected; I was thinking that would somehow "fix" the economy and all would be better for me and everybody else. But that isn't going to happen, and probably never would have happened anyways.

It is time for me to start pursuing my dreams, passions, and ideas with abandon. Full-bore makerism with steampunk style, pursuing the future I want with fire and a laser-guided purpose: to make the world better, for myself, my family, and for the rest of my local economy.

It is time for me to sell off all my junk, all those Warhammer models and video games and other crap that just sucks away time from more important endeavors. Time to get the Jag fixed up enough to sell, and fix the Olds or else find a decent clunker to get me from Point A to Point B. Time to learn how to work wood and leather, and sand-casting brass.

Time to get out of the ghost town I call my life.

I made my own machine,
Now we're building steam,
I hate the same routine.

I should start using this thing.

So, I've realized I have this dead, unused blog. Hmmm... What to post?

The Current Silly Idea Occupying Seth's Brain:

A tandem rotor gyroplane, large enough to transport a single (full) shipping container. It takes off via a long runway, lands vertically at the delivery sight, and now that it is unburdened by the massive steel container can perform a jump take-off (vertical take off).

Primary use: Putting Ice Road Truckers out of business! Or really, any large deliveries to remote burgs of humanity in Alaska and the Yukon.

A google search as revealed absolutely no data related to this subject, apart from an old patent somebody submitted and a blog by a like-minded experimenter.
